Divya Dutta says, ‘I am a big fan of this show. The experience of working in this show was very beautiful for me. The first day I reached the set, it seemed like everyone was already a friend. Was meeting everyone for the first time. Initially I was wondering how to make friends? But slowly, I started really enjoying it.

There was a wait of four years to make this story. Whenever I meet someone, everyone says that ‘Bandish Bandits’ is a great series. This show has made a special place for itself. I am very happy to be a part of this second season.

During the conversation, Divya told that she worked harder than necessary for her character. She says, ‘Many times during shooting I feel that I will not be able to sing properly. I gained confidence after a few days. In the beginning, I got so engrossed in this character that I even tore my neck. I used to do riyaaz in a very loud voice. Junkie shouldn’t have done it. My throat was sore.

Well, these are small mistakes, but that is part of learning. I worked hard, practiced a lot and slowly started improving myself. After a few days, felt happy. Now I have got used to doing well in this new music style.

Describing herself as an excited student of music, Divya said, ‘Well, I am a bathroom singer. Yes, I got a chance to sing in a film ‘Train to Pakistan’. I remember, my music director was standing and his sons were closing their ears by doing this. Well, he was just joking. By the way, I have sung in two films.

Shabana Azmi ji says that an actor has an understanding of tune, even if he cannot sing very well. I got opportunities to sing here and I got to learn a lot about western music and classical music. Now I consider myself an excited student.
