The most common accidents occurring during Diwali are children getting burnt by firecrackers. In such a situation, parents should not be careless at all. A little carelessness can spoil the happiness of the festival.

During Diwali, there is noise of firecrackers in the streets. People burst crackers on the road. Many times children come out of the house to see them and become victims of accidents. Therefore, never let children go out alone during Diwali. Always keep monitoring them.
Be careful about eating and drinking on Diwali
During Diwali, different types of dishes and sweets are prepared in homes. For some people, the festival is not complete without eating fried foods. Children find such food items very tasty. Many times children eat more than they need to taste, which can lead to food poisoning, indigestion or other stomach-related health problems. Therefore, take special care of the eating habits of children during the festival, so that children along with you can enjoy the festival with enthusiasm.
Protect children from increasing air pollution
The smoke emanating from firecrackers increases the level of pollution in the air many times more than normal, which is extremely dangerous for people of all ages, but children are more at risk.

During festival time everyone decorates the house. For this, people decorate their houses with colorful lights and fringes. Small children are very attracted towards these fringes and try to touch them. Due to this they can get electrocuted. Therefore, while decorating the house, keep the skirtings out of the reach of children. Also, take special care that children do not play around skirting boards.
The loud noise of firecrackers can damage ears.
Children’s ears are more sensitive than adults. Their ear canal is smaller than that of adults. Therefore the pressure of the sound entering the ear is higher. Prolonged exposure to loud noise from firecrackers can damage the eardrums of children. This may affect their hearing ability. Therefore, keep children away from the loud noise of firecrackers.
