That star of Hindi cinema, whom the world knew as the first superstar of Bollywood, that star who gave not one or two but 13 back to back superhits. From the long line of fans to the turmoil in life after marriage and having two children, it is not hidden from anyone. Rajesh Khanna also lived that period in his life, which he played in his films. His fans saw the impact of his broken relationship with his wife Dimple Kapadia in his life. ‘Kaka’ was definitely away from his children, but was very close to his heart. Therefore, when daughter Twinkle Khanna was entering films, she gave her a warning along with an advice.
There was a time when makers used to queue up to cast Kaka i.e. Rajesh Khanna in their films. But it is said that good and bad times happen to everyone in a person’s life. Something similar was seen in Rajesh Khanna’s career and real life also. After the arrival of veterans like Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna’s stardom started declining.
Twinkle used to ask advice from father
Both the daughters of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia also tried their hand in acting in Bollywood. But, no one achieved that stardom. Twinkle Khanna made her acting debut in the year 1995. Rajesh Khanna was sure that his daughter would do wonders on camera, but Twinkle’s career got punctured even before it could gain momentum. Although Kaka was away from the camera since the decline of his career, he not only came on camera for his daughter but also gave an interview. In a conversation with ‘Laharen Retro’ he had told what he had said to Twinkle. Rajesh Khanna had told that Twinkle often asked him for advice as she was preparing to enter Bollywood.
‘Don’t take advice from your mother at all’
Rajesh Khanna had told that whenever Twinkle talked about this, he used to say that there is no godfather in the industry and she will have to find her own path. Kaka had said, ‘I told Twinkle not to ask advice from her mother Dimple Kapadia, otherwise you will get confused.’
When Twinkle said- my films should be banned
Twinkle Khanna made her acting debut in the year 1995 with the film ‘Barsaat’, but her career did not last long. After this she got into writing and today is a well-known writer. Twinkle has written many books till now. Twinkle herself had said in an interview that she has not given a single hit and hence my films should be banned.
Rajesh Khanna-Dimple Kapadia did not separate after divorce
Let us tell you that after marrying Rajesh Khanna, Dimple Kapadia had stopped working in films. She was busy taking care of her daughters Twinkle and Rinki and taking care of her family. Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia never got divorced. They just drifted apart. In an interview in Vancouver, Kaka had said that Dimple has not divorced him, they just live separately. Have not separated. However, Dimple again made a successful comeback in the world of cinema.
