Released on 21 February 2025, the film performed weakly on Opening Day, and on the second day there was no significant jump in it. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film ‘Mere Husband Ki BV’ earned around ₹ 1.5 crore on the first day (Friday). On the second day (Saturday), he did a business of ₹ 1.65 crore (estimated), which reached ₹ 3.15 crore. The film is getting mixed response from the audience. Its Hindi occupancy stood at 10.34%on Saturday, with the best performance in Pune (24%), Chennai (20%) and Mumbai (19%).

Film budget and expectations

The budget of this film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is said to be around ₹ 50-60 crores. However, seeing the slow start of the film, it is also difficult to remove its cost.

If the film’s occupancy increases in the weekend, then there may be some improvement in earnings. However, the first two days of performance is showing that the film is not getting the expected love from the people. Now it has to be seen whether the film is able to hold its grip on the weekend or not.

‘Chhaw’ became a big challenge

The film is getting a tough competition from Vicky Kaushal’s “Chhava” at the box office, which has already crossed ₹ 250 crore and is moving towards 300 crores. In such a situation, it is becoming difficult for ‘my husband’s wife’.

This film, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, is firmly at the box office in its second week. According to the industry tracker Chexnilk, the film has so far grossed Rs 286.75 crore.

The film’s occupancy saw a continuous increase throughout the day: morning show – 35.55%, afternoon show – 53.98%and evening shows – 61.82%. Given the popularity of the film and the increasing interest of the audience, ‘Chhava’ may soon cross the Rs 300 crore mark.
