New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut was surrounded by controversies for some time due to her next film ‘Emergency’, but now her upcoming film ‘Emergency’ is ready for release. Kangana’s film ‘Emergency’ has received censor certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The actress has given this information by sharing a post on social media.
The actress has updated her followers by sharing a post on the story section of the social media platform Instagram. Kangana wrote, ‘We have received the certificate for our film ‘Emergency’, we will announce the release date soon. Thank you for your patience and support. Regarding the film, last month the Bombay High Court had ordered the Censor Board to decide if the Sikh community or individuals objected to the film’s release on September 6.

Censor Board gave certificate on certain conditions
The CBFC screening committee had approved the film for ‘UA’ certificate on the condition that the filmmakers make three cuts and present their controversial statements with logic. According to media reports, amid the cuts, the committee suggested that the filmmakers remove or change some scenes involving Pakistani soldiers attacking Bangladeshi refugees.
Kangana Ranaut has played the role of Indira Gandhi
The film ‘Emergency’ is based on the Emergency of India imposed by Indira Gandhi between 1975-1977. Civil rights and freedom of the press were severely curtailed during the period of emergency. Kangana Ranaut is playing the role of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the film. Along with Kangana Ranaut, other actors including Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhary, Anupam Kher, Vishak Nair are in important roles in the film. The script of the film has been written by Ritesh Shah. The film has been directed by Kangana Ranaut.
