Kangana Ranot’s film Emergency will now be released on OTT soon. This was announced by the actress herself. He shared a story on his social media handle today, in which he has given information about the OTT release of this film.
Kangana shared a picture of the film Emergency and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on her Instagram story. In its caption, he wrote- ‘The film Emergency, on March 17 will be a stream on the OTT platform Netflix’.
The film was released on 17 January
The film Emergency on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was released on 17 January. Kangana plays Indira Gandhi in this film. While Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Venak Nair, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman and Satish Kaushik are also seen with him.
The release of the film was stopped due to lack of certificate
The film Emergency was scheduled to be released on 14 June 2024. However, it was postponed due to the Lok Sabha elections. The film was to be released on 6 September 2024, but just a few days before its release, the censor board refused to give a certificate to the film. It was alleged that the film has controversial scenes, which could disturb the peace.
On August 30, Kangana said that her film was passed to Emergency, but due to pressure from some powerful people, the censor board refused to give a certificate to the film. Kangana reached the High Court in this case. There was also a demand to ban the film in Telangana due to some objectionable scenes of the Sikh community.
Film passed by censor board on 17 October
The film’s release was stopped until the decision on the certification case came. Several complaints were filed against Kangana across the country and the film was demanded to ban. The Sikh community also strongly opposed Kangana and the film. Kangana Ranot told on 17 October that the film has been passed by the censor board.

According to a report by second, the film Emergency grossed Rs 18.35 crore at the Indian box office. At the same time, it collected Rs 23.75 crore at the worldwide box office.
