During this conversation, Sheena told that theatres taught her the real meaning of acting and she enjoyed her acting a lot through theatres. After learning acting completely from theatres, she moved to Mumbai and as soon as she reached there, she started working in ad films. It was through ad films that she got a break in South films. Her ad director Jayaraj liked it so much that he immediately offered a film to Sheena.
In her very first film, Sheena Chauhan played the role of Malayalam superstar Mammootty’s wife. Her acting in this role was highly appreciated and from here a new path opened for her in the South film industry. Sheena believes that it takes time for art to get recognition in the industry.
OTT opened a new path
According to the actress, critically acclaimed artists like Manav Kaul, Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte have gained recognition through OTT. She believes that gradually there is a change among the audience as well and now they give more value to good stories and films.
Sheena wants to do character based films
Sheena told that she likes doing character based films. She wants to do only those films in her future career in which her role is very strong and powerful. She does not want to be seen only as a beautiful prop in films.
