Apart from Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi and Abhishek Banerjee have also played important roles in this film. Abhishek’s character ‘Jana’ in the film got special love from the audience. He won the hearts of the audience with his amazing comic timing. Before making a name in the acting world, Abhishek Banerjee used to work as a casting director. He has done casting for many big budget Bollywood films, but once he was thrown out of a Dharma Productions film, after which he started fearing the end of his career.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the actor revealed that he was casting for the film ‘Agneepath’ made under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions banner, but then he was suddenly fired. He says, ‘We were fired from ‘Agneepath’. We were casting for ‘Agneepath’, but when we were fired, Jogi Bhai took over it’.
Karan did not like the casting
The actor further says, ‘Why were we fired, because Karan sir did not like our casting. We were casting Anurag Kashyap film type actors. He said, ‘Get out of our film’. We thought we were ruined, our career was over, but we somehow found a way out for ourselves.’
Let us tell you, Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra’s film ‘Agneepath’ was produced by Karan Johar and directed by Karan Malhotra. However, the actor did not clarify which Karan had thrown him out of the film.
