Question- What things should be kept in mind while installing geyser in the house?

answer- Like any other electronic item, geysers also need care. Generally people install geysers in the bathroom. However, if the geyser is not installed properly in the bathroom then it can also be dangerous.

Understand from the graphic below what kind of precautions are necessary to be taken while installing the geyser.

Let us understand these points given in the graphic in detail.

Use metal pipe instead of plastic pipe

The inlet and outlet pipes of the geyser should be metal instead of plastic. Metal pipes are strong and durable, which can withstand the high temperature and pressure of the geyser.

Keep space between wall and geyser

It is important to keep a gap of a few centimeters between the wall and the geyser. From this

There is ease in maintenance. In case of any problem, the parts of the geyser can be easily replaced. Apart from this, there is no current in the wall due to short circuit.

Keep in mind the height of 6 feet

The geyser should be installed at a height of at least 6 feet i.e. 1.8 meters from the floor. This not only ensures good supply of hot water, but there is also no risk of electric shock.

It is necessary to make connection with MCB

MCB i.e. Miniature Circuit Breaker is an electromechanical device, which protects the geyser from electric overload and short circuit. It works like a switch. When the current exceeds a certain limit the MCB trips. This reduces the possibility of fire. So during installation ensure that your geyser connection is connected to MCB or not.

Question- What kind of precautions should be taken while using geyser?

answer- Geyser is a thing which is exposed to high temperature, water and electricity at the same time. Therefore, great care should be taken while using it. A little carelessness can cause a major accident.

Understand from the graphic below what kind of precautions are necessary while using the geyser.

By adopting these tips, you can not only increase the life of the geyser but can also save on electricity bills.

Question- Which geyser is better to install at home?

answer- The choice of geyser depends on many things like your need, budget and space. Nowadays, there are many options available in the market like electric geyser, gas geyser, solar geyser or tank water geyser. Their price ranges from Rs 5 thousand to Rs 50 thousand. You can choose any type of geyser as per your need. However, always keep in mind the ISI mark and rating before purchasing.

Question- When should the geyser be serviced?

answer- Geysers are used the most in winter. Therefore, the geyser must be serviced once before the start of the winter season. Actually, due to non-use of the geyser for a long time, the internal parts of the geyser may get rusted. Through servicing, any kind of problem will be detected in time, due to which the risk of any accident can be avoided.

You can identify whether your geyser needs service or not by the signs given in the graphic below.

Question: At what temperature should the geyser be set?

answer- The temperature of water for bathing should be between 40 degrees to 45 degrees Celsius. However, some people set the temperature of the geyser much higher than this. In such a situation, as soon as the shower is turned on, the water becomes very hot. After this cold water is added to it. So that the temperature of the water becomes normal. This not only causes wastage of electricity but also puts load on the inner system of the geyser. ,
