New Delhi: ‘After ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Gadar 2’ also got a lot of love from the audience. Therefore, filmmaker Anil Sharma has started working on its third part ‘Gadar 3’. He has given an update about the film. The director said that superstar Sunny Deol will be a part of its third part. Talking to IANS, Anil Sharma said, ‘We have started working on ‘Gadar 3’. When everything related to the film is done, then we will share it, there is still some time. ‘Gadar 2′ took 20 years to be made.’
Anil Sharma said that he wants this film to be a bigger package in terms of emotions than ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ and ‘Gadar 2’. ‘Gadar 2’ is the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of the year 2023 and the eighth highest-grossing Hindi film of all time.
‘Gadar 3’ will be awesome
The director further said, ‘Gadar 3′ will come when the script is complete and I think it is not just a flood of emotions but an atom bomb of emotions.’ Sunny played the iconic character of Tara Singh in the first two parts. He was accompanied by Ameesha Patel, who played the role of Sakina. Utkarsh Sharma played the role of his son.
‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ released in 2001
When Anil Sharma was asked if Sunny Deol will be in the third part, the filmmaker said, ‘I believe that the series of stories should continue. I want to take the story forward.’ ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, released in 2001, was a tragic love story set during the partition of India in 1947, in which a truck driver named Tara Singh falls in love with a Pakistani girl named Sakina. The second installment was set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film showed Tara Singh returning to Pakistan to rescue his son Jeete, who was imprisoned by Pakistani authorities.
