Question- How does Google Map know whether there is a traffic jam on a road or not?
answer- When we search any location in our mobile, Google Map also tells us the traffic situation of that location. But have you ever wondered how Google comes to know whether there is a traffic jam or not? Has Google installed cameras everywhere?
It’s not like that. Google Map does this with our help. Actually, when we search a location, Google Map finds out how many mobile phones are active there along that route. Also, what is the speed of progress of those mobile phone users.
On the basis of this data, Google tells whether there is a traffic jam on any road or not.
Question- How does Google Map tell the estimated time to reach a route?
answer- When we search about any location on Google Map, the map analyzes many things. It also includes all routes related to that location and the time of active mobile phone users passing through that route. Based on this analysis, the map tells the estimated time to reach the destination.
Question- Is there any threat to our privacy due to Google Map tracking?
answer- Cyber expert Ishan Sinha says that tracking of Google Map can threaten our privacy. Actually Google Map tracks our location and activities. Although Google claims that it takes full care of the privacy of its users. It does not share the location of users with anyone. Still, turn on Google Map location only when you need it.
Technology is a boon for us, but relying too much on it can also be dangerous. Google Map is a good web mapping service. However, it is not necessary that Google’s estimates are always accurate. Many times the path shown by him may prove to be wrong. There can be many technical reasons for this. Therefore, while going on any new path, be careful and cautious of yourself.
