Juhu Police has questioned Bollywood actor Govinda in the case of him accidentally shooting himself. If sources are to be believed, Govinda told the police that when he was cleaning the revolver, it was unlocked and a bullet was accidentally fired from it.
Sources say that Govinda told that the revolver was 20 years old. Police sources said that prima facie they do not think any foul play has taken place. However, the interrogating policemen are not completely satisfied with Govinda’s answers. The police may record his statement again soon. It has also been learned that Govinda’s daughter Tina Ahuja has also been interrogated by the police. His statement has also been recorded. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
Mumbai Police has also interrogated Govinda’s daughter and his body guard. Actually, Govinda was shot in the leg with his own revolver on Tuesday. This incident happened around 4:45 in the morning. Govinda was then checking his weapons before going to Kolkata. Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was admitted to Critical Care Hospital in Mumbai after being shot.
Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha had also said, ‘Actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was preparing to leave for Kolkata. He was keeping his licensed revolver in the cupboard when it fell from his hand and a bullet was fired from it which hit his leg. The doctor has removed the bullet and his condition is fine. He is in the hospital now.
Soon after, Govinda also issued a voice note to the press assuring them and the fans that he was fine. He had said, ‘Namaskar, Pranam, I am Govinda, with the blessings of all of you and the blessings of your parents, the bullet has been removed due to the grace of Guru. I thank the doctor here, the respected Dr. Aggarwal ji and the prayers of all of you, thank you and salute you.
