Before getting married, Govinda and Sunita dated each other for 3 years. Recently, Sunita told that she started wearing sarees instead of mini skirts for the sake of Govinda’s mother. By the way, Govinda also did not like Sunita’s short clothes before marriage.
On the Time Out with Ankit podcast, Sunita Ahuja told that she met Govinda’s mother for the first time wearing a sari. She said, ‘I had switched from mini skirts to sari. Earlier, when I used to wear mini skirts, Govinda used to hate me. He used to say that why does she bring a dog with her, wear shorts. I said that I am from Bandra, you are from Virar. He used to say that this will not suit. I said that you have come to the film industry, where girls wear short clothes, it will be fine for you, but it will not suit me. He said that no friend, it will not suit my mother. Then I said okay, let’s wear a sari, what difference does it make.’
