New Delhi. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for his grand films. Till date, no filmmaker has been able to compete with the brilliant cinematography, grand sets and heavy costumes of his films. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s previous series ‘Hiramandi’ was a huge hit and now the veteran director is coming up with ‘Love and War’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt and he believes that this film will be completely different from all his films till now. It is the one.
Recently, in an interview given to The Hollywood Reporter India, Sanjay Leela Bhansali talked about being a strict director. He said that sometimes he himself does not understand what he wants on the set, due to which he shoots the same scene again and again. The director admitted that actors sometimes face difficulty in understanding his vision and it becomes difficult for them to work together.
Showman guides
Talking about his inspiration and dedication for making films, he said that he wants to make films like Bollywood’s showman Raj Kapoor. He says, ‘When I make films, I know that I want to make films like Raj Kapoor. I feel like he is sitting behind me and guiding me as to what to do. Sometimes I don’t realize from where I got this vision, but later I understand where this inspiration came from.
Don’t analyze your films
Sanjay Leela Bhansali believes that he cannot believe in things until they happen. He never sits and analyzes his films. According to the director, there will be neither any period setting nor heavy costumes in his upcoming film ‘Love and War’.
