Mumbai. Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR and Jhanvi Kapoor starrer ‘Devra Part One’ has been released today at the box office. Saif has played the villain in this and is engaged in the promotion of the film with Junior NTR and Jhanvi. Recently he attended an event and commented on filmmaker Karon Johar’s viral comment ‘Stars cannot guarantee hits’. He said that Karan had made this comment to reduce the fees. Saif told that the makers pay a huge amount as fees on the demand of big actors.
Saif Ali Khan also said that stars who charge very high fees and do not work cannot last long in the industry. At the conclave organized by India Today, when the anchor said that Karan Johar had talked about how celebs charge Rs 40 crore for a film but cannot even guarantee Rs 3.5 crore at the box office, Saif Ali Khan laughed. Gave a reaction.
Saif Ali Khan said, “He wants to cut the pay cheque. I think I should form my own union on this. I think he is right, but I may also get upset when I get a pay check for less. No pay check should be cut. Look, the economics of our industry is like this. this is what happens.”
Saif Ali Khan said, “You go to a star, sometimes he says – ‘If you want to take me, this will be the price.’ And people pay for it, so sometimes the economics go wrong. But, he is an Indian businessman. Therefore, the film industry in itself is the finance center of a business and people target it. But, Karan Johar knows very well. “I’m just kidding.”
Saif Ali Khan further said, “What Karan Johar is talking about is that people take a lot of money and still do not complete the work, which cannot continue in the long run. “We don’t take that much money, we are protected from recession.” Let us tell you, Saif has made his Telugu debut with Devra: Part 1.
