Recently, a video of filmmaking was shared on the YouTube channel of Yash Raj Films in which Saroj Khan said, ‘Adi (Aditya Chopra) was about to remove me from the film (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge). One day I reached late and he was about to take the first shot of the song, in which Kajol is seen in a black gown and he is seen in a black suit. He was shouting and telling his father, I am going to expel Saroj ji. Somehow I reached on time, before he threw me out of the film.

Hero took only Rs 1 lakh as fee, such a film was made for Rs 20 lakh, 59 years ago the box office was shaken.

Uday Chopra said, ‘Saroj ji was telling him, Adi, what are you doing? You are ruining this song. Even with some parts of the climax, Papa was not happy with the way Adi wanted to shoot it. Saroj ji, Man ji (cinematographer Manmohan Singh) and Papa were all experts in their respective work and they were telling Adi that he was doing something wrong, but still he did not listen to anyone. He only listens to his mind. It was the greatness of Saroj ji that one day she came home and said that I was wrong, you were right.
