‘Heart attack will come’, Sham Kaushal used to cry in the corner after every shot, the matter is related to Shahrukh Khan’s film

New Delhi. Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’ was released in the year 2007. Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with this film. The movie became a superhit after its release. There is a fire scene in ‘Om Shanti Om’, where Shahrukh saves Deepika’s life. During the shooting of this scene, action director Sham Kaushal had tears in his eyes several times. He himself has made this disclosure after almost 18 years.

In an interview given to Friday Talkies, action director Sham Kaushal told that he used to be very worried while shooting the fire scene of ‘Om Shanti Om’. They felt that something might go wrong. Sham Kaushal said, ‘There was a scene in Om Shanti Om in which there is fire in which Shahrukh and Deepika are there. A set was set up for that in Film City. Fire had to be set inside it, that’s why the VFX was not that much. It was about 18 years ago. There were three cameras and 70 people from my team, who had to set fire and extinguish it at the same time.

Sham Kaushal further said, ‘If the fire remains on any curtain for even 2 seconds longer, then a big incident can happen. At that time there were 125 people inside the set. The shooting went on for four-five days. When the shot was taken, I used to go to the side and cry, because you are not God, people trust you. Shahrukh Khan had said that there is no problem sir, I will leave. I speak honestly that many times during the shooting I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.

He is known for action direction in films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘PK’, ‘Padmavat’, ‘Sanju’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Simmba’.
