Hero Motorcorp Splendor Electric 6 New EV Models Coming by 2027 Affordable Scooters Premium Motorcycles and More

It appears that Hero MotoCorp is set to expand its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in a big way over the next few years. A report says that the company plans to include six new models in scooters and motorcycles by 2027, which will target different price segments and markets. Not only this, it has been told that preparations are also being made to launch Electric Splendor (Splendor Electric) under the AEDA project and it is expected to enter India in 2027. The company has reportedly set a target of 2 lakh annual units. Hero is also developing low-cost Vida scooters (ACPC and ACPD) and high-performance EV motorcycles, including a Lynx dirt bike in 2026 and a mainstream model in 2027.

Autocar Professional’s AccordingIndia’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is preparing to take an important step in the electric vehicle market. The company is reportedly planning to launch half a dozen new EV models over the next 2-3 years, covering a wide range from entry-level scooters to high-performance electric motorcycles. The most significant of these will be the move to launch an electric version of the long-rumored Splendor motorcycle, which is being developed under the codename AEDA.

The report further suggests that the product is being developed at Hero’s CIT facility in Jaipur. The company is preparing to launch it in 2027 and it has also been told that Hero aims to produce 2 lakh units annually. The company is also working on the ADZA project, which will be an electric motorcycle with similar power to 150cc and 250cc for style-conscious and performance-centric buyers.

In the scooter segment, Hero has expanded its Vida portfolio with the addition of the Vida V2 (internal codename ACPC) priced under Rs 1 lakh. According to Autocar Professional, Hero aims to increase monthly EV production from 7,000 units currently to 20,000 units by the festive season of 2025.

The company’s plans also include a dirt bike EV, the Lynx, which is targeted for launch in 2026 with a nominal annual volume of 10,000 units primarily for the global market. Hero is also preparing to introduce mainstream electric motorcycles in 2027.

Additionally, Hero’s collaboration with US-based Zero Motorcycles will bring premium electric models in the 500cc-600cc range by 2026-27, targeting monthly numbers of 330-500 units.
