Hyundai Motor India today launched its entry level hatchback Grand i10 Neos with dual CNG cylinder in the Indian market. This is the company’s second car with this technology. Earlier, Hyundai launched the mini SUV Xter with dual CNG cylinder.
The dual cylinder setup gives the car more boot space and with the help of the integrated electronic control unit (ECU), the driver can easily switch the car between petrol and CNG mode. The company claims that the car will run 27.3 kilometers on one kilo of CNG.
Dual CNG cylinder technology has been provided in the mid variants of Hyundai Grand i10 Neos – Magna and Sportz. The price of the car is between Rs 5.92 lakh and Rs 8.56 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In India, Grand i10 Neos competes with Tata Tiago CNG, Tigor CNG and Maruti Suzuki Swift.
More than 20 safety features will be available in all variants
The Korean company has paid special attention to safety in the Grand i10 Neos. More than 20 safety features have been provided in the car. All its variants include 6 airbags, cruise control, LED taillamps, tire pressure monitoring system (Highline), ESC, Hill Start Assist Control (HAC) and much more.
Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG: Performance
Hyundai has not made any changes in the powertrain of Grand i10 Neos CNG. The car comes with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder bi-fuel petrol engine. It comes with the choice of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox. The car gives a mileage of 20.7km/l in petrol and 27.3km/kg in CNG.
