Many features of this electric SUV are similar to its internal combustion engine (ice) version. However, some upgrade has also been made in it. Hyandai has made changes in its cabin. The Creta Electric will have a three-spoke steering wheel. It will have a gear selector on the right side of the steering column. The reason for this is to have a shift-ve-wire system in Creta Electric that uses electronic connections instead of mechanical linkage between gear shifts and transmission. This electric SUV has a dual screen infotainment instrument cluster. It will get wireless connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Special attention has been paid to the safety of passengers in Creta Electric. It uses Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) and High Strength Steel (HSS). Because of this, the frame of Creta Electric is quite strong and it will give a safe experience of driving. It has safety features like six airbags, isofix, disc brakes, surround view monitor, rain sensing vipers. Along with this, Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) Level 2 will also be available in Creta Electric.
It will compete with Tata Motors’ Curvv Ev, MG Motor’s ZS Ev, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Be 6 and Maruti Suzuki’s E Vitara. This Five Seater Electric SUV is available in four variants – Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. It has been made available in eight monotones and two dual-tone colors. There are two battery packs of 51.4 kwh and 42 kwh for Creta Electric. The company has stated that its 51.4 kwh battery pack variants are about 473 km in single charge.
