John Abraham had said that after Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar, he is the only outsider star who established himself in the industry on his own. He had to struggle a lot to make his place in the film industry.
John also told that when he started working in the film industry, he had Rs 550 in his account.

In 2010, John talked about his early career in the show Aap Ki Adalat. He said- I am alone here. It was a bit difficult for me to maintain myself. I also had to constantly prove myself.
He further said- When I started working in the film industry, I had only Rs 550 in my account. I just want to move forward on my own terms. I don’t need anyone’s support.
John and his family live a simple life style
Some time ago, John talked about his lifestyle in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia. He said- Every piece of clothing I have can fit in a single suitcase. I don’t have many clothes. I usually wear slippers. I also drive a pickup truck.
He also told that his parents also travel by public transport. He said- My mother is 74 years old and father is 86 years old. Till date they have only a small car. They mostly travel by auto or bus.
