Mumbai. Anil Sharma’s film ‘Singh Saheb The Great’ was released in 2013. The film flopped badly at the box office. Sunny Deol, Amrita Rao and Urvashi Rautela played lead roles in it. Urvashi made her Bollywood debut with this film. In this film, she was seen with Sunny Deol, who was much senior to her. In this, she played the role of Sunny’s wife and also shot a romantic song with him. There was an age difference of about 37 years between Sunny and Urvashi. Urvashi has reacted on her romance with a hero double her age.
Urvashi Rautela’s film ‘NBK 109’ with 64-year-old South superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna is about to be released. Urvashi talked about working with a hero of double her age. He said in an interview to I Diva, “This is the biggest age-gap in the history of Bollywood, correct me if I am wrong. There was an age-gap of 38 years between us.”
Urvashi Rautela said, “I was younger than even his (Sunny Deol) sons. But if the director feels there is no problem, then there is no problem.” She further said that she is going to break this record with her upcoming project ‘NBK 109’, which is a big budget South film, in which she is opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Urvashi Rautela said, “I am pairing up with Balakrishna garu and there is an age difference between us… He is in his 60s or 70s and this is the biggest age difference in the history of Indian cinema.” Sharing her opinion on the topic of age difference in films, Urvashi said, “The greater the age difference, the more the film will benefit. The older a star is, the more fans he has.”
Urvashi Rautela further said, “Cinematically, it benefits the film a lot, but personally it doesn’t benefit at all.” She said that she has no problem with the age difference in films, but she would not date someone with such a big age difference in real life.
