New Delhi. Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan made their Bollywood debut 25 years ago with the blockbuster film ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’. The success of the film made both the actors stars overnight. There was a huge craze among the people about the songs and look of the film. Ameesha Patel’s simple style in ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ had created such a place in the hearts of the audience that the actress used to receive bloody letters after the success of the film.

While talking with Hindustan Times, Ameesha Patel recalled her experience and told how she used to get scared after seeing blood-filled letters. The actress says that there were some fans who used to take her photo to temples and churches and marry her photo. She tells that fans used to send her photos in which vermilion was applied, there was a garland and it was written that you are only mine.

Hate letters were received along with love letters.
She further says, ‘I used to get hate letters along with the photos. It was written on a letter that how can you work with Bobby Deol, Sunny Deol, you are only mine Sonia. I used to receive letters written in blood. All this was very good, but it was equally scary.

Fans used to chase the actress
Ameesha Patel tells that some fans used to cross all limits in their madness. They even followed him to get a glimpse of him. The ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ actress says, ‘My security and watchman had to push people back. There was no social media at that time. Fans would suddenly come outside my house with handwritten letters. There was a different kind of craze in those days.
