Actress Sadia Khatib, who was seen opposite John Abraham in the film ‘The Diplomat’, recently had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. He spoke openly about his career and explained why he has done less films so far.

Sadia says that she does not rely on publicity and PR Strategy, but wants people to recognize her because of her work.

Let me tell you, Sadia Khatib is playing the role of Uzma Ahmed in the film ‘The Diplomat’. This is a film based on a true incident, in which Pakistan gets caught in an Indian woman marriage deception. Read some major parts of the conversation:

Trust in work instead of pr stratji

‘Whatever films I have received so far, I have got only through auditions. If the audition goes well, it got work, otherwise not. Many times people said that ‘you are not seen’ or ‘not in the scene’. But what do they mean by the scene? Publishing news by paying money? Call the PR agency and say that show me?

Nowadays there are so many social media pages and platforms, where they are brought to the limelight by paying money. But my definition is something else. I want my work to be so strong that people ask themselves – who is this girl? And adopt me on the same basis. Yes, perhaps I have to pry it later, but my identity made of my talent, this is my first priority. ‘

Experience to work with John Abraham

Sadia laughs at the experience of working with John Abraham in the film ‘The Diplomat’, ‘John is very disciplined, but is also a very chil and fun man.

Sometimes he saw my food plate and would say, ‘It has many calories.’ But I am a addict of food and can never compromise with food. Many times I used to think that I wish John also eat what I ate. ‘ (Laughing)

Strict about fitness but impossible to leave food

Regarding her fitness, Saadia says, ‘My weight in the middle had increased slightly, so I started the workout. The trainer hired and he used to call me every day – ‘Sister, your film is going to be released.’ (Laughing) Two months I paid full attention to fitness.

I take care of basic things – I do not eat sugar, use rock salt in salt and household food is made in less oil. But do not oppress myself, if I get good food outside, then I eat with fun.

The real reason for doing less movies

When Sadia appeared in fewer films so far, he revealed, ‘There are two reasons behind it. My first film ‘Shikara’ was released during the lockdown in 2020, then ‘Rakshabandhan’ came in 2022. Two months later, I started shooting for ‘The Diplomat’, which took some time.

Every project matters to me, so when I did not like a story from my heart, I did not do it. On the other hand, I probably did not fit in the big projects for which I auditioned. There was a need for big stars and I was not that big star at that time.

So after ‘Shikara’ waited for about a year, until a strong story like ‘Rakshabandhan’ was found. Now I am very happy to get a satisfying role like ‘The Diplomat’. ‘

Stubborn and strong intentions since childhood

Sadia says that her personality has always been strong and somewhere she is similar to Uzma Ahmed, the character of her film ‘The Diplomat’. She shared a funny story of childhood, ‘I was sitting on the stairs and Mama was busy in some work below. Mummy called me to come down myself. But I caught stubbornness, no, you come up and take me.

Mamma felt that I am getting very stubborn, so she said, ‘Okay, it will come down myself.’ And left me there. I sat there from 12 am to 5 pm, did not come down. Eventually, Mummy herself came up and took me down with her lap.

Today when I think, it seems that my Personality It has been like this since childhood. Whatever is determined, she will accept it only. ‘

Further planning

On future planning, Sadia says, ‘Now when I have played a role like’ The Diplomat ‘, I was thinking that I can do anything, but no, quality matters for me.

I probably made a mistake by leaving some projects, but also correct, because it is necessary for me to have more quality than quantity. Now I will also do small roles, but the condition is that they like me.
