Rohman is seen playing the role of Kashmir police officer Adnan in the film ‘Azadi’. According to Rohman, as soon as he read the script, he was so afraid that he had demanded more money.
However, the film’s director Akhil Abrol explained to him and finally Rohman signed the film.

Talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Rohman says, “When I first got a chance to sign the film, I was completely nervous. Director Akhil got a call and he told that it is a short film and will be easy. But when I read the script, the whole atmosphere changed. I thought it is not easy, it will have to do a lot in it. Moreover, I started feeling afraid whether I might be able to act or not. Then I thought- What to do, escape by asking for more money,
But Akhil Bhai said- Not so budgetI breathed a sigh of relief. Then suddenly one day I got a call again. He said- I can’t think of anyone in this character other than youThis time I was a little confident about myself, so I agreed.
Shooting 24 hours in -9 degrees without stopping
Regarding the first day experience on the set, he explains, ‘When I reached the set, I thought I would show my years of experience without fear.After the first take, Akhil Bhai said- It doesn’t seem that this is your first filmHearing this, my nervousness was completely overcome. Then all the scenes came, without thinking. The shooting atmosphere was so motive that everyone was working together. We shot 24 hours without stopping, that too at -9 degrees. It was really a turning point for my career. ‘
The film ‘Azadi’ was very special for me
Regarding the film, Rohman says, ‘Freedom was very special for me. This was my first film. This gave me the freedom that I always thought- Can i become an actor or notEventually, I got freedom from this question. When the film was released, my second project was already a hit, in which I played Villain. ‘Freedom’ gave me a lot of confidence. I was happy that people were appreciating my acting. This was the freedom for me- to do your work without fear and then get the same love from the audience.
I felt the stories of Kashmir which came out through the film
The film had a connection with Kashmir, which is also Rohman’s hometown. Regarding this, he said, ‘I am not born from Jammu and Kashmir, but my identity is related to Kashmir. I grew up in Nainital, but my whole family is from Kashmir, so I have always heard about Kashmir. This is my first film which is related to Kashmir. I felt very proud. I felt the stories of Kashmir which came out through the film.
Never stayed in Kashmir before, but felt the struggle and culture of the people there during the film. When people say- You are illuminating the name of Kashmir that sounds great. Through the film related to Kashmir, I again connected to my homeland. This experience will always be close to my heart for me.
