New Delhi. Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ was released in the year 2003. Preity Zinta and Saif Ali Khan were also a part of the film. It was a romantic love story movie, whose story is still present in the hearts of people. The success of ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ also brought popularity to director Nikhil Advani. Recently he shared his experience of working with King Khan. Nikhil Advani told that Shahrukh Khan wanted to leave the film ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ after 4 days of shooting.
During an interview with Mirchi Plus, Nikhil Advani told that after leaving ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’, Shahrukh had suggested the name of Salman Khan in his place. Shahrukh Khan was injured at that time and he did not want Karan Johar and Nikhil to delay the film because of him.
The director narrated the whole story
Nikhil Advani told, ‘He (Shahrukh Khan) did not want to do the film. After four days of shooting, he told me and Karan that he would not be able to work further. His back was injured. He did a stunt for a duplicate movie. He did not pay attention to it and later his condition worsened. He called Karan and said that I will not be able to work further. After doing one scene he said I can’t do it. I will call Salman, you make a film with him.
Makers waited for 6 months
He further said, ‘Shah Rukh Khan said that I am going to Germany for surgery and it will take 6 months for me to recover. It is obvious that you people will not wait for so long. We said we would wait. Nikhil told that he initially started shooting in Toronto, but he got depressed because he wanted to shoot in New York as Karan had written in the script. Then after a few months he started shooting in New York.

‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ film re-released
It is known that recently ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ was re-released in theaters. The audience once again showered a lot of love on the film. Nikhil Advani is very happy with the response the movie has received. He said that a good film always attracts the audience. Jokingly, he told that someone told him that the re-release of this film has earned better than his recent ‘Veda’.
100% hit record with Shahrukh Khan
When asked why he did not work with Shahrukh Khan again, Nikhil Advani said, ‘I have a 100 percent hit record with Shahrukh Khan and I don’t want to spoil it. I am afraid that I will create something that will not live up to people’s expectations.
