The Income Tax Department has raided the house and office of Pushpa-2 film director Sukumar on Wednesday. Before the director, the Income Tax Department had also raided the house of the film’s producer Dil Raju.
Income tax raid lasted for several hours
According to the report of Sakshi Post, a raid has been conducted at Sukumar’s office in Banjara Hills. The income tax raid lasted for several hours on Wednesday morning. The report also claimed that Sukumar was going somewhere from Hyderabad airport but the IT department called him back home from the airport itself.

However, it is not yet known why it has been raided. At present, no statement has come from the Director and Income Tax Department either. It is also believed that properties belonging to other members of Mythri Movie Makers may also be raided. According to reports, 55 teams have simultaneously raided eight different places.
Producer Dil Raju’s house also raided
Before director Sukumar, the house in Jubilee Hills of Dil Raju, producer of films like Pushpa-2, Game Changer and president of Telangana Film Federation Development Corporation, was also raided. Not only this, news of raids at many places in Hyderabad had come to light.
Recently Pushpa-2 broke many earning records.
Sukumar was recently in the news for his directed film Pushpa-2. His film proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. Apart from Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna were in lead roles in the film. The film collected more than 1800 crores at the box office.
