Electric vehicle start-up Wave Mobility has today (January 18) launched Wave EVA, the first solar-powered electric power car in the Indian market. The company claims that the car will run 250 kilometers once fully charged.

The Wave Eva is a small car, similar to a quadricycle. It can seat 2 persons and a child. This EV can accelerate from 0-40 kilometers per hour in 5 seconds. This car will compete with MG’s Comet.

Starting ex-showroom price Rs 3.25 lakh Wave Eva has been introduced in three variants – Nova, Stella and Vega. The starting ex-showroom price of its base variant Nova is Rs 3.25 lakh. It has battery in the form of subscription plan. Whereas, customers will be able to buy the EV without battery subscription at a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 3.99 lakh.

These prices will be for the first 25,000 customers, whose deliveries will start in 2026. The company said that Wave Eva has been provided with a flexible solar panel, through which the car can drive 10 kilometers every day.
