New Delhi. Jackie Shroff is one of the veteran stars of the Bollywood industry. He entered the world of acting in the 80s and became a star in no time. These days he is spreading the magic of his strong acting in Bollywood as well as South films. Recently, Jackie Shroff, while recalling his struggling days, told that he used to live with his family in a small room in Teen Batti Chawl in Mumbai, where sometimes he would see a snake and sometimes he would get bitten by a rat.
In an interview given to Ranveer Allahbadia, Jackie Shroff recalled the days of his early life. He said, ‘I remember the time when I used to stand outside the chawl bathroom with a mug in my hand. There were 7 small buildings and there were only 3 bathrooms for all the people. Every morning there used to be a long line of people outside the toilet, because everyone had to go to work. These memories are still so fresh in my mind that sometimes I see myself standing in that line in my dreams.’
Eating and sleeping was done on the ground
When Jackie Shroff was shown a picture of his room, he told about his old days and how he used to eat sitting on the floor and sleep on the floor. He said, ‘I used to eat sitting on the floor, which I think is the best way to eat. My mother used to cook food and I used to eat sitting on the floor. All those memories never went away from my mind. I used to sleep on the floor in the room.’
