New Delhi: Jackie Shroff is a successful Bollywood actor, whose son Tiger Shroff is also earning a lot of name in acting. The actor remembered late superstar Dev Anand. He shared a video in the stories section of his Instagram, on which it is written, ‘With the blessings of Dev Saheb, I came into the film world.’

Jackie Shroff started his acting career with Dev Anand’s 1982 film ‘Swami Dada’. In her first meeting with Dev Anand, she was offered the second lead role, but after 15 days Dev Anand changed his mind and gave this role to Mithun Chakraborty. Jackie was cast in an uncredited role as one of Shakti Kapoor’s henchmen.

Earlier, Jackie worked as a travel agent and also worked in an advertising company. His stint in advertising got him modeling assignments and before he knew it, he was cast in ‘Swami Dada’. However, it was Subhash Ghai directed ‘Hero’ in which Jackie Shroff won praise and became a big star in the 1980s. He acted in films like ‘Teri Meherbaniyaan’, ‘Tridev’, ‘Parinda’, ‘Karma’ and others.

When Hema Malini was nervous about working with Dev Anand
Remembering the late actor, Hema Malini also posted many old pictures on her Instagram from the sets of the films in which both of them had worked together. While writing a note in the caption, he spoke openly about his memories with the late actor. He wrote, ‘I have very fond memories of Dev Saheb. He was an actor in my second big film. I was extremely nervous, but he quickly put me at ease and treated me as if he were my friend. His easy-going attitude continued till later, which kept me inspired.
