New Delhi : It has been 24 years since Karan Johar’s blockbuster film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum’ was released, but its popularity remains intact even today. Released in 2001, this film is still counted among the most magnificent family films of Bollywood. The presence of big stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan made it special.

The film was about 3 hours 30 minutes long, with many scenes that were shot but removed in the final edit. If these scenes were in the film, perhaps its story would have become even deeper and interesting. Let’s know the big scenes removed, which very few people know.

Rahul-Anjali’s romantic dance sequence

In the film, the pair of Shah Rukh Khan (Rahul) and Kajol (Anjali) were well liked by the people. Karan Johar showed his romance very beautifully, but a special dance sequence that was filmed after the ‘YouR My My Sonia’ song was removed.

Story of the scene

After the death of Anjali’s father (Alok Nath), Rahul has to marry him suddenly.
On the other hand, Yash Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan) is preparing for the engagement of his sons Rahul and Naina (Rani Mukherjee).
A small version of this was also shown in the film, but many scenes with engagement preparations were removed.

Long scene of meeting Rohan-Puja after 10 years

In the film, Rohan (Hrithik Roshan) goes to London after 10 years to bring his elder brother Rahul and sister -in -law Anjali back home. There he first meets Pooja (Kareena Kapoor), who is Anjali’s younger sister.

Story of the scene

Rohan recognizes Pooja at first sight, but Pooja does not recognize her.
When Rohan recites the puzzle of childhood, he remembers who is actually Rohan.
A special Montaz was shot after this scene in the film, in which
Rahul-Anjali, Pooja and Saeeda (Farida Jalal) came to London and the struggling life there.
These people would give a glimpse of 10 years spent by Rahul and Anjali in London, but it was not included in the final film.

Dharma Productions and 90’s Classic Film

Dharma Productions gave iconic films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ in the 90s and early 2000. People still like the grandeur and emotional depth of these films.

However, some scenes are removed in the editing process of any film, so that the length of the film is correct. But if these removed scenes were included, the film could have become even more spectacular.
