Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency is going to be released on January 17 after getting the green signal from the Censor Board almost three months ago. Kangana has released the trailer of the film on her social media accounts. Out of which Jarnail Singh Bhindranwala and Khalistan Samaj

Earlier, the film ‘Emergency’, directed by Kangana, was scheduled to be released on September 6, 2024 but it did not get clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). About 5 months ago, independent Punjab MP and Khalistan supporter Sarbjit Singh Khalsa had objected to the scenes shown in the trailer.

MP Sarbjit Singh Khalsa, son of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s security guard Beant Singh, who assassinated her, had said that reports of Sikhs being portrayed in a wrong way in the film Emergency are coming out, which will lead to deterioration of peace and law and order in the society. There is doubt. If Sikhs are shown as separatists or terrorists in this film then it is a deep conspiracy.

This film is a psychological attack, which the government should pay attention to in advance and stop inciting hatred towards Sikhs in other countries.

10 changes were asked to be made

  • The Censor Board had asked to show facts on the controversial statements shown during the Emergency. CBFC had said that the makers will have to present the sources of the derogatory remarks made by former US President Richard Milhous Nixon towards Indian women and the statements of former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill that Indians breed like rabbits.
  • The Censor Board had sent a list of 10 changes to Manikarnika Films Private Limited. Most of these scenes were those on which objections were raised by Sikh organizations.
  • In a scene of the film, Pakistani soldiers are shown attacking Bangladeshi refugees. In this he is shown attacking children and women. CBFC had also expressed its objection to this scene. The board had asked the makers to change this scene from the film or delete it completely.

Three scenes were deleted from the film

The film is now ready for release. Sikh organizations had raised objections regarding the film, due to which CBFC had withheld the certificate. Kangana had also expressed anger on this matter.

CBFC had raised objections on many scenes of this film. CBFC had given instructions to delete 3 scenes from this film. Strict instructions were also given that 10 changes should be made in the film before releasing it.
