Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has got the green signal from the Censor Board. The film is now ready for release. Soon the release date will be made official by Kangana Ranaut. Sikh organizations had raised objections regarding the film, due to which CBFC had withheld the certificate. Kangana had also expressed anger on this matter.
CBFC had raised objections on many scenes of this film. CBFC had given instructions to delete 3 scenes from this film. Strict instructions were also given that 10 changes should be made in the film before releasing it.

Kangana has directed and produced the film Emergency. In the film she played the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
Kangana had said in Bhaskar interview – Rape and murder took place in the farmers movement. BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut had said in an interview to Dainik Bhaskar that miscreants were spreading violence in the name of farmers’ movement in Punjab. MP’s Jabalpur Sikh Sangat took out a rally till the Collectorate in Jabalpur on Friday. Here a memorandum was submitted to the Collector in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding a complete ban on the film.
BJP had expressed disagreement with Kangana’s statement. Kangana had said in an interview to Bhaskar that if the government had not been strong, Punjab would have become Bangladesh. When this statement was opposed, BJP said that this is Kangana’s own opinion and not that of the party.
BJP issued a press release on August 26 saying – the party disagrees with Kangana’s statement. Kangana is not allowed to speak on party policy issues. The party had also instructed him not to make such statements further.
