British rock band Coldplay is coming to India in January 2025. Booking for the concert to be held in January started on 22 September and all the shows were sold out within a few minutes. During the booking, there was a traffic of 24 lakh users on the Book My Show app, due to which the app crashed. Many famous celebs were also in the waiting queue for ticket booking, however they too could not get tickets. Filmmaker Karan Johar told through a social media post that despite being privileged, he missed booking the tickets.
On not being able to book tickets, Karan wrote on the social media platform, Dear Privilege, I love how Coldplay and The Mini Cali (fashion brand) always keep you grounded. Darling, you can’t always get what you want. Lots of love.
Let us tell you that Coldplay band is coming to India for the ‘Music of the Spheres’ world tour. The band will perform at Mumbai’s D.Y.Patil Stadium on 18, 19 and 21 January. Initially, the concert was going to be held for only 2 days in India, however, seeing the craze of the fans, Coldplay has announced to perform for 3 days instead of 2.
Booking for the concert opened on the Book My Show app at 12 noon on Sunday, but the app crashed due to the traffic of lakhs of users. After this, a queue system was put on Book My Show, through which users were put in the waiting room. This waiting list was in lakhs.
Ticket re-selling prize reached 10 lakhs
The actual ticket price for Coldplay’s concerts in India ranges from Rs 2500 to Rs 35,000, however, these tickets are now being resold for up to Rs 10 lakh. According to a Mint report, lounge tickets worth Rs 3500 are now being made available on other sites for Rs 10 lakh.
