Kareena Kapoor Khan joins The Hollywood Reporter India’s roundtable discussion. During the conversation, the actress told that her co-star Aamir Khan felt so bad due to the box office failure of the film that he was heartbroken. Kareena Kapoor praised Aamir Khan and called him a legend.
‘Aamir had asked- Will you talk to me?’
The actress narrated the incident of meeting Aamir after the release of the film, where he jokingly said to the actress – ‘The picture is not working for us’, will you talk to me? At that time I understood Aamir’s sadness. Apart from this, Kareena Kapoor also talked about her character Rupa in Lal Singh Chaddha. He said- ‘I feel that what Rupa has done for me, she probably couldn’t even do a Singham again.’

The actress further said that the film’s director Advait Chandan had written her character Rupa very beautifully. The actress explained that Laal Singh Chaddha was not made like commercial blockbuster films, but with all the heart. He said- ‘Everyone had worked hard and we never thought that this film would do a business of only Rs 500 crore. This film was about the truth of the story.

Kareena Kapoor was pregnant for the second time during the shooting of the film Lal Singh Chaddha. The actress told that she came to know about her pregnancy during the shooting of the film. By the time he broke this news to Aamir, more than half of the film was shot. At that time Aamir Khan supported Kareena Kapoor, which made her very happy. Aamir told Kareena Kapoor, ‘I am happy for you. We will wait for you and complete the film together.
