Mumbai. The trailer of director Atul Garg’s film ‘Chola’ was shown at the 55th International Film Festival going on in Goa. The film is based on the life of a professor. During the trailer launch of ‘Chola’, Karni Sena expressed strong objection to the scenes shown in the film in which the hero of the film takes off the saffron clothes from his body and burns it in the fire. Karni Sena Yuva Sena President Surjit Singh Rathod and Rajesh Jain created a ruckus at the trailer launch of director Atul Garg’s upcoming film Chola.
Susarjit Singh objected to the scenes of burning saffron clothes, Tulsi and Rudraksh garlands in the trailer and threatened that how can any film dare to show such scenes. Surjit said, “Burning saffron clothes and Rudraksha beads is an insult to Sanatan. Which will absolutely not be tolerated. We will not let even the trailer be shown anywhere, leave alone the film.”
The film Chola is the story of a young professor who takes refuge in a Baba’s ashram and wears a saffron robe for spiritual peace, but even that does not bring peace, his mind keeps wandering. Then the Baba of the ashram tells him that for spiritual peace it is necessary to recognize the inner strength. There is no need to wear saffron clothes for that.
