The first love of childhood was not successful

She used to propose what Madhubala liked by giving it a rose and love letter. His first love was his childhood friend Latif. When Madhubala’s family was shifting from Delhi to Mumbai, Madhubala gave Latif a red rose as a sign of her love. Latif went into depression after Madhubala shifted to Mumbai. Latif kept the rose handled by the time of Madhubala’s death. The rose was finally placed on Madhubala’s grave. Even today, Latif offers roses every year on Madhubala’s death anniversary.

She was in a relationship with director Kedar Sharma

After coming to Mumbai, Madhubala first got a chance to work in Bombay Talkies’s film ‘Basant’ in 1942 as a child artist. After this, Madhubala also worked as a child artist in director Kedar Sharma’s film ‘Mumtaz Mahal’.

When Kedar Sharma was taking Madhubala’s screen test for the film ‘Neelkamal’, he fell in love with Madhubala. At that time Madhubala must have been 14-15 years old. She was very young to understand love. She was in a relationship with Kedar Sharma for a short time, but soon shied away from her.

Madhubala’s sister Madhur Brij Bhushan is co-producing the film under the Madhubala Ventures banner with Soni Pictures International Productions and Broving Thoughts Private Limited.
