Question- Unni, the film ‘Marco’ is being praised everywhere, how are you feeling?

answerIt is being said that this is India’s most violent film. When this film was made in Malayalam, it was known that it would be the most violent film in the Malayalam film industry. A good film has been made, but we did not expect that this film would be liked so much among the Hindi audience. It is being said about our film that it looks like a Hollywood film. If this film is being liked, then everyone has worked very hard behind it.

Question- Yukti, how are you feeling?

answer– This is a big film of my career. Had not worked in a film made on such a grand scale before. A lot has been learned during the shooting of the film. Everyone was talking in Malayalam during the shooting. Even though I couldn’t understand what he was saying, I tried to understand what he was saying.

Question- Kabir, you have played such a character in this film, which the audience is both loving and hating. How do you view this compliment?

answer– I consider this the biggest achievement of my career. Working in South Industry for last 9 years. I was waiting for such a film in which I could showcase my work. I am getting messages from many places that no villain has received so much love till date.

Question- Yukti, when you were approached for the film, what was your reaction to this film?

answer- When I got a call for this film, I was shooting a film in Hyderabad at that time. After that, when the meeting took place, it was decided that the film had to be done. However, I was a little scared before the shoot. It was a new environment for me. I was wondering how it would happen. The atmosphere was like an alien world for me.

Question- Kabir, tell me, what was your reaction after the narration of the film?

answer– I love action very much. When the film’s director Hanif Bhai called, there was a slight problem regarding the language, but during the conversation it was understood that a big action film is going to be made. When I met Unni for the first time and he told me that he had finalized the film after watching my video. When he told what is his vision for the film? How the film is going to be made, that’s when I said that this film is going to be a big hit.

Question- Unni, you have presented the villain in the film very effectively. Where did this idea come from that the villain can outweigh the hero?

answer- I don’t believe that only the hero should be seen in the entire film. The entire film should be made well. The screenplay and performance of all the actors should be good. One should not act selfishly and show oneself in the entire film. For me, it was an action film, which I wanted to do in my career. However, 6 years ago I had thought that I would not do an action film.

Question- When you thought that you would not do an action film, then how did the idea of making such a big action film come to you?

answer- If there is no performance in the films of Malayalam film industry, then the audience there will not accept it. When I felt that the audience is ready to watch action films with performances, then I planned this film. I had convinced many people for this. I believe that when people start trusting you, good work starts happening automatically. I was thinking that if I stay on the set, people should feel that I am the most hardworking one.

Question- You have received the National Award as a producer for the film ‘Meppadiyan’. Now he has become a global star through ‘Marco’. What would you like to say?

answer– I always believe that if the content of the film is good, then it definitely works. No matter which language the film is in. Earlier the audience had no idea what was going on in the South. Films in regional languages have got a boost during Covid. I feel happy when our work reaches more and more people.

Question- It is being told that your film is competing with ‘Pushpa 2’, what do you think about this?

answer- There is no such thing. Our film has no competition with any other film. Allu Arjun has worked hard for a long time and made a special place for himself in the industry. Suddenly I did a film. There is no collision with this. My film has been made well in its place. I am happy that a big film like ‘Pushpa 2’ is going on and people are coming to watch our film too.

Question- There is a lot of violence in the film, it is believed that such films are not good for the society. This promotes violence in the society. What would you like to say?

answer- I never make films to promote violence. The era of hard core action films has been around since the beginning. Currently, a lot of violence has been shown in films like ‘Animal’ and ‘Kill’. If the censor board has any objection to some scenes, they cut them. My film has passed the censor board after 8 cuts.

Question- It has been heard that some actresses had thrown you out of films?

answer- This is a part of life. I don’t take it personally. There must have been such a situation at that time. It feels bad, but I did not give much importance to all those things. I believe that whatever is in my favor, I will get it.

Question- You chose people with whom you had no relation for your film. Cast only on their merit?

answer– I believe that people should come only on merit. People who deserve. They should get the right opportunity. I had cast Kabir Duhan Singh after watching one of his videos.
