Maruti Suzuki Preparaing to Launch E Vitara, Electric SUV Crash Tested

The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki’s first electric vehicle (EV) E Vitara will be launched soon. The crash test of this electric SUV is being done. E Vitara has seven airbags. It was displayed at the recently held Bharat Mobility Global Expo.

This electric SUV is being tested on several parameters including side impact test and frontal crash test. The image of this test indicates that this test is not being done by Safety rating agencies like BNCAP or GNCAP, but is being done by Maruti Suzuki. E Vitara has features like 360 ​​degree camera, TPMS, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise control. This electric SUV will compete with models like Hyundai’s Creta Electric, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Be 6 and MG Motor’s ZS EV.

Its cabin was revealed in a recently posted teaser by the company. The single charge of this electric SUV will be about 500 kilometers. E Vitara in There may be two battery pack options of 49 kwh and 61 kwh. Its 49 kwh battery variant can generate a maximum power of 142 bhp and peak torque of 189 Nm. E Vitara has a dual integrated screen, which acts as an infotainment system and a display of a digital driver. It has a two-spoke steering wheel. The company will soon give information about the price and booking of E Vitara. Maruti Suzuki plans to include six EV models in its portfolio in the coming years. The manufacturing of E Vitara will be on the Heartect-E platform designed especially for battery-powered electric vehicles. It has two separate electric excels on the front and rear. This electric SUV has a single-speed drive transmission. EV’s share in the total sales of vehicles in the country is less than 10 percent.
