New Delhi: Director-producer Vikram Bhatt, famous for ‘Ghulam’, ‘1920’, ‘Raaz’ and other films, has praised filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Vikram Bhatt shared a video on his Instagram on Friday, October 18, capturing BTS moments from his next film ‘Tu Meri Puri Kahani’. Vikram Bhatt told that when Mahesh Bhatt decided to make a film, he never felt the need to get the title of superhit musical ‘Aashiqui’. The director also told how Mahesh Bhatt had helped him in bringing ‘Tu Meri Puri Kahani’ into existence.
‘Aashiqui’, released in 1990, was a huge hit film, all its songs proved to be chartbusters and both its lead actors Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal became stars overnight. This film also inspired the making of ‘Aashiqui 2’, in which Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur were in lead roles. Vikram also wrote a long note praising Mahesh Bhatt in the caption, ‘It is ironic that parties should fight over the title of Aashiqui, while my boss (Mahesh Bhatt) made the film and did not even feel the need to claim it. Then I told him like the dialogue in the film ‘Deewar’ – ‘I have Bhatt Saheb.’ When I have the person who created it creatively, I don’t need a title.
