MG Motor’s share in the electric vehicles (EV) market is increasing. MG Motor has informed about increasing the prices of all variants of Windsor EV launched last year by about Rs 50,000. Earlier this EV was being sold at entry prices.

According to a media report, the company has also stopped the offer of free charging through MG e-hub application. Prices of Windsor EV have increased from approximately Rs 13,99,800 to Rs 15,99,800 (ex-showroom). The company is giving a warranty of eight years or 1,60,000 kilometers on the battery of this electric crossover. Windsor EV has received good response from customers. in december last year Windsor EV It has been the best-selling electric car for the third consecutive month. This is the third EV for the company to cross sales of 10,000 units.

In December, MG Motor’s sales increased by almost 55 percent to 7,516 units. Windsor EV’s share in this is about 3,785 units. The company has said that the contribution of EV in its total sales in December was about 70 percent. MG Motor’s portfolio of electric vehicles also includes Comet EV and ZS EV. The company started delivery of Windsor EV to customers on Dussehra. Windsor EV has connected LED lights on both the front and rear. It has 18-inch alloy wheels for better aerodynamics. Its front has the MG logo below the connected LED DRL strip. It has a charging port on the front left fender. It has been made available in four colors – Pearl White, Clay Beige, Turquoise Green and Starburst Black.

This is the first EV for which the option of Battery as a Service has been given. In this, the starting price of Windsor EV will reduce. However, with this, additional battery rental of Rs 3.5 per kilometer will have to be paid. MG Motor received more than 15,000 bookings within 24 hours of its booking opening. It has the comfort of a sedan and space like an SUV. Windsor EV has been made available in three variants – Excite, Exclusive and Essence. This electric crossover competes with Mahindra XUV400 and Tata Motors’ Nexon EV. Tata has the highest share in this segment.
