JSW and MG Motor India have released another teaser of their upcoming crossover utility vehicle (CUV) Windsor. The video shows a 15.6-inch Grandview touch display, which is the largest in its segment.
It has been designed to enhance the driving experience and will have navigation, entertainment, gaming and learning hubs. This will be the first car in India in partnership between JSW and MG. The company is calling the car India’s first electric CUV.
Recently the launch date of Windsor was announced (11 September). Its price can be less than Rs 20 lakh. It will be placed below ZS EV in the company’s EV portfolio. MG’s new EV will have to compete with Curve EV, Nexon EV, XUV400.
You will also get a panoramic glass roof
Earlier, a video shared on the social media platform X showed a fixed panoramic glass roof. This glass roof lets a lot of light into the cabin, making the cabin look quite premium. A similar glass roof is also provided in the Hyundai premium EV Ioniq 5.
Earlier teasers showed the car passing through water, mountains and rough roads, which shows its high ground clearance and performance. The segment’s first aero-lounge seats have also been shown. Meaning, the car is going to enter the Indian market with many luxury features.

Comes in two battery pack options abroad, range up to 460km
This car is sold in Indonesia under the name Wuling Cloud EV. The specifications of its Indian version have not been revealed yet. It can be offered with the electric powertrain of Cloud EV. Cloud EV comes with two battery pack options:
- The 37.9kWh battery pack option offers a range of 360km.
- The 50.6kWh battery pack option has a claimed range of 460km.
It is powered by a front-axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 134hp. The EV is around 4.3 metres long with a 2,700mm wheelbase. It looks like an MPV, but it will only be available with a 5-seat configuration.

The company is calling it India’s first intelligent CUV. Features like 15.6-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch digital driver display, wireless phone charging, multi-color ambient lighting, electric adjustable front seat and electric tailgate can be found in the car.
Safety Features: ADAS can be available with 6 airbags
Safety features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake and 360 degree camera can be provided in the car.
Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can also be provided in Windsor EV, under which functions like adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking can be available.
