British automobile brand Morris Garages Motor India’s crossover utility vehicle (CUV) Windsor EV will be launched on September 11. Its price will be less than Rs 20 lakh. It will be positioned just below the ZS EV in the company’s EV portfolio. Recently, the company released a teaser of the Windsor EV. In the video shared on the social media platform X, the car is shown being tested in the mountains of Ladakh. MG’s new EV will have to compete with Curve EV, Nexon EV, XUV400. Comes in two battery pack options abroad, range up to 460km This car is sold in Indonesia as Wuling Cloud EV. The specification of its Indian version has not been revealed yet. It can be offered with the electric powertrain of Cloud EV. The Cloud EV comes with two battery pack options: It is powered by a front-axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 134hp. This EV is about 4.3 meters long with a 2,700 mm wheelbase. It looks like an MPV, but it will only be available with a 5-seat configuration. Comfort Features: Electrically adjustable front seat can be given. The company is calling it India’s first intelligent CUV. Features like 15.6-inch touchscreen, 8.8-inch digital driver display, wireless phone charging, multi-color ambient lighting, electrically adjustable front seat and electric tailgate can be found in the car. Safety Features: ADAS can be available with 6 airbags. Safety features like 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Electronic Parking Brake and 360 degree camera can be given in the car. Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) can also be given in Windsor EV, under which functions like Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking can be found.
