Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency has been released on January 17. Despite the controversies, the film is getting praise from critics, although the film has made a slow start in terms of collections. The film had an opening collection of Rs 2.50 crore on the first day. On the second day, Saturday, there was a 39 percent jump in the film’s earnings.
According to the report of box office tracker website Sacnilk.com, the film Emergency has collected Rs 3.42 crore on the second day. With this, the film’s earning in 2 days has reached Rs 5.92 crore. There are expectations of increase in the film’s earnings today i.e. on Sunday.
Record of Kangana’s Hindi films released in 5 years broken
Despite making only Rs 5.92 crore in 2 days, Kangana Ranaut has broken the records of her films released in the last 5 years. In the last 5 years, Kangana was seen only in Hindi films Dhaakad and Tejas. While Tejas, made for Rs 70 crore, ended up earning just Rs 5.6 crore, Dhaakad, made for Rs 85 crore, could earn only Rs 3.77 crore at the box office. Talking about Kangana Ranaut’s South films, her Chandramukhi 2 could only collect Rs 40 crore in 5 years, but this too, made on a budget of Rs 65 crore, was a flop. Whereas Thalaivii also failed by earning Rs 4.98 crores.
Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency clashes with Ajay Devgan, Rasha Thadani starrer film Azaad. Both the films have been released together on 17 January. While Kangana’s film has earned Rs 5.92 crore in two days, Azad has earned Rs 2.58 crore. Apart from these two films, Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2: The Rule is also in competition. The film has earned Rs 1.10 crore on the 38th day of its release i.e. last Saturday. In this way the total Indian collection of the film has become 1226 crores. The film has earned around Rs 1800 crore worldwide.
Sadhguru had attended the special screening of Emergency
On January 17, a special screening of the film Emergency was held at PVR, Juhu, where spiritual guru Sadhguru also attended. Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher welcomed him. Also took blessings for the success of the film, the video of which is going viral on social media.
Users are also commenting heavily on this video of Kangana. One wrote, ‘Hindu lioness Kangana Ranaut.’ Another wrote, ‘These are rituals.’ A third wrote, ‘Only she can do this.’
Kangana said, ‘It is our good fortune that Sadhguru ji came to watch our film. I had a very good crew and wonderful actors with me in the film. It was great for us to work with the National Award winning actor. If I can make a film with such good people, then what a great thing.
Spiritual guru Sadhguru said, ‘It has been 50 years since Emergency was imposed in India. In such a situation, the youth should watch such films to know the history. This brings some questions to our mind. We should avoid judging anything. The question is whether what we have learned is happening again.
Anupam Kher said, ‘Sadhguru came to our screening, which makes us feel very good. Kangana has acted as well as directed in this film. He has done a very good job in this film and we thank him for this.
