Mumbai. World AIDS Day: Today is World AIDS Day. AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) Day is celebrated across the world on 1 December. AIDS patients even today find themselves in the same sea of pain as they were yesterday. However, accurate information and awareness about this dangerous disease can prove to be two big weapons. Although awareness about AIDS may have increased now, at one time thousands of deaths occurred due to this serious and contagious disease. AIDS has been controlled only because of awareness. These films have worked in spreading awareness.
The work of films is not only about romance, action and drama but also from time to time to talk about the problems that are happening in the society. It is really as difficult to understand the pain of AIDS patients as it is to sweeten the ocean. However, the film industry has produced many films which talk openly about AIDS.
‘Sometimes in love’
‘Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi’ was released in the year 1999. Even though the film was not entirely on AIDS, the problem of AIDS has been shown in a brilliant way in the story. Actually, the hero of the film gets AIDS and the whole story turns in a different direction. The film stars Rinke Khanna and Sanjay Suri in lead roles along with Dino Morea.

These films not only touch the sensitivities of the patients, they also seem to break many myths. These films made on social issues were highly appreciated by the critics but could not win the hearts of the audience at the box office.
