Bigg Boss 17 winner and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui has once again been embroiled in controversy. Recently, Munawar Faruqui used abusive words for the people of the Konkani community while joking with the audience during a stand-up comedy show. After the video of the show surfaced, the people of the Konkani community erupted in anger. On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitesh Rane has threatened to send him to Pakistan. On the other hand, a leader has also announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for beating Munawar.

Councilor Samadhan Sarwankar has shared a video of Munavvar Faruqui’s stand-up comedy show. Along with the video, he has written in Konkani language that if Munavvar does not apologize for his statement, he will give a reward of Rs 1 lakh to the person who beat him. Let us tell you that Samadhan Sarwankar is the son of Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) leader, MLA and Siddhivinayak temple trustee Sada Sarwankar.

Apart from this, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nitesh Rane expressed his anger by releasing a video. He said in Konkani language, it will not take much time to send a green snake like you to Pakistan. He is abusing the people of Konkan. If he does not apologize, it will not take much time to send him to Pakistan.

Munawar apologized as the controversy escalated

After the controversy escalated, Munawar Faruqui has apologized by sharing a video on X platform (earlier Twitter). He has said, friends, I have come here to clear something. Some time ago there was a show, in which while talking to the crowd, the topic of Konkan came up. I knew that many Konkani people live in Taloja because many of my friends also live there. But he went a little out of context. No friends, my intention is not that at all. I have seen that some people have been hurt. As a stand-up comedian, I do not want anyone to be offended for any reason. I want to apologize from the bottom of my heart. Sorry, whoever was hurt. There were many people in the show, who enjoyed that show. Jai Hind, Jai Maharashtra.

In his post, Munawwar wrote in Konkani language, Kokanavaar khup khup prem aani maazi maafi (My lots of love for Konkan and my apologies).
