Recently Musheer Khan, brother of Indian cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, was injured in a car accident. He was going from Azamgarh to Lucknow with his father Naushad Khan to participate in the Irani Cup. Meanwhile, his speeding Fortuner overturned on the Purvanchal Expressway. Musheer has suffered a neck injury and is currently out of danger.
According to Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA), the speed of the car was between 150 to 160. Because of this the driver suddenly lost control.

The organization that gives safety rating to cars in India is Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP), which gives safety rating on certain safety parameters to new cars manufactured or sold in India. answer- For this test, a dummy with human structure is used as a passenger in the car. After this, different types of colors are applied on the face, knees and head parts of the dummy.
First of all the car has to undergo frontal impact test. In this, the front part of the car collides with the barrier at a speed of 65 kilometers per hour. After this the side impact test of the car is done. On this basis, other safety features of the car are also assessed.

answer- During the safety test, special care is taken to safety measures like Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist Technology (SAT) and Adult Occupant Protection (AOP). According to these three safety features, it is seen how safe the children or adults sitting in the car are. According to this, the car is given a rating on the safety scale. This rating ranges from 1 to 5 stars. 5 stars is considered to be the safest rating, while a car with 1 star rating is considered to be the worst. This poses the greatest risk in case of an accident.

Overspeeding causes 70% of road accidents in India
In India, one person is dying in a road accident every three and a half minutes. According to the report of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the number of road accidents in India in 2022 was more than 4 lakh 60 thousand.
