According to media reports, 5 films of Dilip Kumar – Madhumati (1958), Paigam (1959), Kohinoor (1960), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Ganga Jamuna (1961) were blockbusters at the box-office. All these films had earned crores of rupees during that period. Only one actor has been able to break this record of ‘Tragedy King’ Dilip Kumar.
There are many stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan who were very successful in the industry, but could not break Dilip Kumar’s record. Salman Khan is the only actor who has rivaled Dilip Kumar’s record.

According to Box-Office India, between 2010 and 2012, Salman Khan had given 5 blockbuster films. ‘Dabangg’ in 2010, ‘Ready’ in 2011, ‘Bodyguard’ in 2011, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in 2012 and ‘Dabangg 2’ in 2012, these films had bumper earnings.
