While ‘Pushpa 2’ has become one of India’s ‘All Time Blockbusters’, ‘Laapta Ladies’ is included in the favorite list of audiences across the world due to its offbeat content. Meanwhile, former US President Barack Obama has thrilled cine lovers by mentioning an Indian film. Barack Obama has released the list of his favorite films of 2024, in which the first place has been given to Indian films.
Like every year, former US President Barack Obama has shared the annual list of his favorite films. Payal Kapadia’s film ‘All We Imagine as Light’ has been praised globally in the last few months. This is the only Indian film which has been included in Barack Obama’s list of his favorite films. He shared this list on his social media account on Friday 20th December.
The film has won many awards worldwide.

Barack Obama wrote on his Instagram handle, ‘Here are some films that I would recommend watching this year.’ In the photo he shared, it was written, ‘Barack Obama’s favorite films of 2024 – All We Imagine as Light, Conclave, The Piano Lesson, The Promised Land, The Seed of the Sacred Fig, Dune: Part Two, Anora, Sister, a complete unknown.

Nurse’s amazing story ‘All We Imagine as Light’
‘All We Imagine as Light’ is creating history on the world stage. The discussion about the film started when it won the Grand Prix Award at the ‘Cannes Film Festival’ at the beginning of the year. The film was recently nominated for two Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards. Apart from this, Payal had won the ‘Spirit of Cinema Award’ at the 29th Kerala International Film Festival (IFFK) a few days ago. This film was not selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars. ‘All We Imagine as Light’ is the story of Prabha, a troubled nurse who receives a ‘gift’ from her estranged husband. Artists like Kani Kusruti, Divya Prabha and Chhaya Kadam have played important roles in the film.
