Yesterday’s big news was related to two-wheeler manufacturer Ola Electric and Hindustan Zinc. Ola Electric launched its first electric bike Roadster in the Indian market. The company introduced 3 models of the bike – Roadster, Roadster X, Roadster Pro – in its annual event ‘Sankalp 2024’.
At the same time, Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL), a subsidiary of Vedanta Group, is planning to give a special dividend of Rs 8,000 crore to its shareholders for the current financial year. In this, the government will get Rs 2,400 crore and its promoter Vedanta will get Rs 5100 crore.

1. Ola electric bike ‘Roadster’ launched at a starting price of ₹74,999: Top variant will run 579km on full charge, competes with Revolt RV400
Ola Electric has launched its first electric bike Roadster in the Indian market. The electric two-wheeler manufacturing company introduced 3 models of the bike – Roadster, Roadster X, Roadster Pro – at its annual event ‘Sankalp 2024’.
Roadster and Roadster X have been launched with three different battery packs and Roadster Pro with two different battery packs. That is, all three models have been introduced in a total of 8 variants with different battery packs. The ex-showroom price of the starting variant of the Roadster series is Rs 74,999, which goes up to Rs 2.49 lakh in the top variant Roadster Pro.

2. Hindustan Zinc will pay a dividend of ₹8,000 crore: The government will get ₹2,400 crore and promoter Vedanta will get ₹5,100 crore, this is apart from the regular dividend
Vedanta Group subsidiary Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) is planning to give a special dividend of Rs 8,000 crore to its shareholders for the current financial year. The company’s board meeting will be held on August 20 to finalize the approval of the dividend.
This information was given by news agency PTI today (15 August) quoting sources. Companies give a part of their profits to their shareholders, it is called dividend.

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched Thar Rocks in the Indian market. This is a 5-door version of the company’s most popular SUV Thar. It has been provided with off-road technology of the existing 3-door Thar. New features have been added to the car for comfort and safety.
Thar Rocks has features like a new 6-slat grille, all LED lighting setup, 10.25-inch touchscreen, ventilated front seats and auto AC. For safety, the new SUV is equipped with safety features like 6 airbags standard, TPMS and ADAS.
